Five Months

I wanted to do a post a few weeks ago of just pictures, but never had time or the computer. Be prepared to be picture overloaded. We have had a lot going on. First, we've had some visitors in the last few weeks. Shane's grandparents moved from Tennessee to Idaho Falls. I had never met them, and Shane hadn't seen them since he was about 15. It's been fun to visit with them, and Makoy is smitten with them. He is always talking about Grandma and Grandpa Payne. Also, Shane's sister, Lisa and her kids are here from Japan. They are not sure how long they will be visiting. They took a volunteer evacuation until things get a little more settled there. We are glad they are safe and able to visit for a while. Also, Channing turned five months old on the 10th. She is growing so big, so fast. I can't remember what life was like before her. She is so much fun! She is seriously obsessed with Makoy. All he has to do is walk by her and she will scream and giggle. It's so cute. She can sit up on her own now. She does pretty good. She has been doing it for up to ten minutes before she'll start to tip over. She refuses to roll over though. I've even caught her start to do it, but then she will stop. She's a strong girl, so I know it will be no time before she's doing that as well. She's definitely opinionated already and she is not going to do what she doesn't want to. She grabs EVERYTHING in sight. If I'm sitting on one couch and the remote is on the other (across the room) she will just full on lunge for it. She thinks she can grab anything, no matter how far. Makoy was never a grabby baby like this, so I'm slowly learning I can't have anything in sight while holding her. Her favorite thing to grab and chew is still my hair. Lets hope she will get over that soon. Enjoy the picture fest!

First time meeting Grandma and Grandpa Payne

Makoy chatting with Grandpa Payne
Channing and Aunt Lisa

Big girl sitting up. "Look Ma, no hands!"

Sitting up and of course putting a toy in her mouth

I think she's proud of herself

She looks a little scared here

Is it just me, or does she look like Droopy that cartoon dog?

Staring at her brother, wishing she could play like him.

She always does this with her tongue along her gums.
Makoy wanted to rock her to sleep. I told him she wouldn't sleep. As you can see, I was wrong.

She was "talking" so loud and giving him loves. They sure do love eachother.
I was in the middle of getting her ready the other day when Makoy grabbed her and started tackling her. To my surprise she loved it! They do it daily now. I love this picture! Her crazy hair makes it even better.

My sweeties

Her second favorite thing, other than her brother, her toes.
"I wish I could get these things to come off"

I didn't think it was possible for her face to look chubbier. Wrong! :)

Pigtails out
What's a post without a picture of her wild hair?

Giving her toy hippo "Happy" some love

I love this little crooked smile

Happy baby
Lovin tubby time

She was saying"ahhh." Even though she wasn't officially saying a word, it was hilarious.

I watch a little girl, Bristal every Tuesday. They were cuddled up together. Since they were sleeping in my bed, I was forced to take a nap too. Bummer

Four Months

I am really going to try and do a post every month so I can remember her at each stage. I was a terrible mom for Makoy and didn't take enough pictures, or document any stuff etc. Working forty to fifty hours a week made me really slack at that. I still feel guilty about it, always will. Anyway, this little chubba bubba turned four months old on the 10th. She has been sleeping the day away after her shots. I hate that part of the doctor visit. She weighs 13 lbs 12 oz and is 24 inches long. She's in the 48th percentile for her weight, and 37th for her height. Her weight is all in the cheeks! Okay, and the thighs...really all over. She loves to grab everything in sight, is chewing her fingers non stop and trying really hard to roll over. I think she will be there soon. She baby talks and signs all the time and has the cutest little voice. She's a giggly, smiley, sweet little thing. Makoy is still doing great with her and he loves being a brother. He is so good to her and she adores him. The past four months have flown by! I can not remember what life was like before her.

Makoy was making her laugh so hard.

She really does smile all the time, except when I have the camera

Pretty girl in her Sunday best.

First time checking out the exer-saucer. She was concentrating a lot!

My FIVE Year Old

Makoy turned five on the 13th of February. His actual Birthday was a total downer. He was throwing up and I was flat in bed, so there was no celebrating. He opened the presents we got him and then we all laid in bed. Exciting, I know. His Birthday party was rescheduled for the following weekend, the 19th. We had a ton of fun with family and friends. He wanted a fireman themed party. He had a fire truck pinata and other fireman decor. He had a lot of fun and made up for his lousy actual Birthday. I can't believe my little boy is FIVE years old! The time has honestly gone by so incredibly fast. He amazes me every day with how smart he is. He showed me what unconditional love is and made me a mom. We have had five fantastic years with him and I am so grateful for him. I wanted to remember some of the things he is doing at this age and things he likes to do. Warning...there is a lot of reading and pictures. I get a little camera happy sometimes.

He loves to dance. He can stand on his head like this forever, spin around, do all sorts of stuff. He says he wants to be a break dancer when he grows up.

He loves to cook

He did these by himself

He loves to take pictures, mainly of himself as seen below =)

He loves his sister

He loves to clean. Gross picture with the garbage but oh well. He's glaring but really does love it

He loves preschool. This is a robot he made there-so cute.

Here are some other things about my sweet boy

-He loves to be read to. We try to read books every night, but it doesn't always happen.
-He loves to tell knock knock jokes. He tells them all day sometimes. He doesn't quite get the concept of them which is even funnier. Here's one of my faves he tells. "Knock knock...who's there? Banana....banana who? Banana sandwich. Silly kid.
-He loves music. He can sing on key and remember a song after hearing it once or twice. That is how he has learned a lot of his school stuff, putting it to music. He also loves to make up songs.
-His favorite color is blue and red, it's a tie.
-His favorite food is string cheese. Does that count as a food?
-He weighs 37 lbs and is 42 inches tall.
-He is so smart! He can write and recognize all letters in the alphabet. He can write his first and last name. If you tell him a word, he can tell you what it starts with. He can count to 70 or 80 depending on what he feels like that day.....sometimes 100
-He can be very shy and has my curse....blushing. Poor kid

Here he is on his Birthday, poor boy.

Opening presents in bed

His favorite gift, the old school Nintendo. He is already hooked.

Birthday decor

This was my second cake. Apparently the fireman cake pan was more of a decoration. It stuck no matter what we did.

The improvised cake. I ran to the store 2 hrs before the party and he just had a regular, plain ole shaped cake. He was happy though since it was rainbow chip frosting. Plus he loved the candles.

Birthday boy

Makoy and his besty, Livvie. He adores her and she is such a sweetie.

More of Makoy and Livvie

Opening gifts

I get this face a lot- he was sick of posing for me.

Emma and Livvie checking out the gifts

I'm not sure what Emma and Makoy were so bummed about

My mom started a food fight with our friend Isaac. He put frosting in her hair-he won.

This pinata said it was a pull string when I bought it- lies. The kids all took a turn kicking it or whatever they felt. Are we redneck? Maybe so =) We had to improvise
