Our eight month old and 4th

Well, I have to admit, I have been terrible at blogging. I made a goal when I started to do it every month. I still have such guilt that I have nothing of Makoy's life when he was a baby in a type of journal like this. I still have done a post every month, so I guess I'm keeping my goal. Channing is now 2 1/2 weeks away from being nine months, but I'm just getting around to her eight month post. EIGHT months, ugh. It is making me so sad how fast she is growing. I really am trying to enjoy all the fun new things she is learning, but I just can't believe how fast it's gone by. She finally started crawling this month. I was getting worried that she was behind. I say "finally" but I really feel like "already???" She would stand on her own and try and walk, but she couldn't figure out the crawling. She would be doing a yoga pose with the downward dog and try to crawl while doing it. She finally figured out how to put it all together and is into everything! It is so cute to watch her, and she sure is proud of herself. She does this cute little giggle as she crawls. She is just so giddy over it. Makoy is learning that his entire life has changed. No toy left unattended is safe. He isn't enjoying that she can crawl as much as she is. I also haven't put the 4th of July pictures on here yet, holy cow. This was the first year we have stayed home since we've been married. Channing doesn't do well with loud noise or being in a different setting at all. Going to the river did not sound like our idea of fun this year. We just stayed home and barbequed with our friends, Mary and Isaac, and did our own little fireworks show. Makoy really liked it and we had a lot of fun. I may not be going to the river ever again! We are loving every second of having her in our lives, and having two kids. She has been such a good baby, despite her poor illnesses she has been hit with. She weighs 17 lbs 11 oz. Holy cow! Makoy seriously weighed that much when he was a year old. She also is in about the third percentile for her height, so she looks like a short little round ball. I kiss her little (big) cheeks all day!

She always does this smile, I love it.
Her hair is so long on top. Combined with this face she always makes, priceless.
Practicing yoga moves
She makes the weirdest noises with her mouth, but it makes cute little faces.

She kept taking her cousin Keira's passi, she has the exact same one.
She doesn't care who is in her way of trying to stand.
I think Keira is saying "back off already." Keira is older by eight months, but Channing looks bigger.
So proud whenever she can get into Makoy's stuff!
Fourth of July
Of course her toenails were painted red for the occasion. I love her monkey feet!

Festive little friends

Musical prodigies already, playing patriotic songs. Ok maybe not, but close.

Our at home show

Everyone in our neighborhood was doing these big, LOUD fireworks. Our ground flowers totally stole the show though. )

Shane decided to let Makoy help light them. Yeah...I had a panic attack the whole time.

T-ball and other summer fun

For some reason I have not been able to do a post more than once a month. We haven't really had an exciting summer to be honest, but we have been busy with the occasional fun thing. One fun thing was Makoy played t-ball again. This was his third year playing, second with this same team. He had a blast and did awesome! He's really been obsessed with baseball and sports since he was small. It's a good way for him to get his energy out, too. Next year will be interesting, different coaches and a different team. I was able to get some really cute pictures of him. He made some really good pals on this team. Now that t-ball is over, we have just been doing barbeques, summer walks, and get togethers with family and friends. Having a sick baby again, still, always has made it a little hard to do some things, but we still love summer!

My little Boston Redsox lovin', t-ball lovin' sweetie. I love this kid!

Landon, Makoy and Lincoln. Little pals
Makoy, Peyton and Landon
Makoy and another pal, Kyson. I sure hope Kyson is standing on something! Poor Makoy is a shorty, but it doesn't slow him down!
Makoy and Landon
I loved when they were all lined up on the bench. So cute

Ready to bat, this one was a hit to second base. Proud momma!

He insisted I put a picture of him playing catcher. Thank goodness he got over his OCD from last year where he had to line the ball up on the tee just right for the stitches to be a certain way. He didn't care how long he held the game up.
Ready to run
Yelling at me to stop taking pictures

I watched my sister Jen's kids while she was having baby number three. Weston, Saydi and Koy had fun playing. Love this picture of Wes
This was as good of a "smile" Saydi was going to give me. She's still sweet though.

They love the slip n slide and yes, Weston does eat despite what this picture shows. HaWhile we played and had fun, this sweet little guy was born. Jonas Glenn, oh I love him! It's moments like these I think I'd be crazy enough to have another!
Makoy and Jane's girls LOVE each other. They go back and forth between houses daily, sometimes several times a day. Gotta love having GREAT neighbors! We are surrounded by awesome people.
So cute! Lydia joined the fun too. She used to be a neighbor.
More fun in the sun
