Ten Months

Wow, another month has flown by and my baby is now TEN months. I can't believe her first birthday party is right around the corner. Can't time just slow down a little? It seems like they go from being a baby to a toddler overnight. Her attitude is definitely that of a toddlers! She throws massive fits, including throwing her head back so it smacks the floor. She screams when she doesn't get her way, and she thinks no is the funniest word ever. Is she ten months or two years? But, she also loves to cuddle, give kisses, and really is a sweet, sweet baby. I can't remember life without her, and I am so lucky to have two incredible kids! I am about eight posts behind, so I have lots more to come. One down, seven more to come!

This picture is partially scary, but oh so hilarious. She makes this gremlin face all the time. And the bed head helps the laugh factor.
More bed head

And more

She had her first hair cut, and it was a doosy! I think about three inches came off. Here is a before....

And after

The back before....

And after! The Donald Trump mullet has left the building!
One of her locks in a bag. It was long!
:)

This little shrimp is taking about four steps at a time. She's so close to officially walking.

I gnaw on these cheeks all day!
Happy girl
She loves to rock and play "wee"
She wouldn't cooperate for me, but she looked so cute in this outfit. I can't get enough of her!

Nine Months

Sweet little "Channers" turned nine months old on the 10th. Sigh, where has my baby gone? She is a wild woman! Nothing in this house is safe from her exploring. She has gone from crawling to trying to walk in no time flat. She stands on her own forever, and when she wants to will take one little step. It won't be long until she's a walker I'm afraid. She also has decided to throw fits and throw herself backwards whenever you take anything naughty away from her. Where did this little "tude" come from?! Despite her spunkiness, she is so sweet and still loves to cuddle. She has been extra needy lately. If I leave her sight, I am followed by a sad little baby crying. When she has decided she is done tearing things apart, she is on my hip. She's more than a momma's girl! She did have a little tooth come through on the bottom left, so I think that is the cause for the extra emotional state she has been in the last few weeks. Makoy had no teeth until he was 15th months, and it was his top fang teeth. Poor kid! The bottom little tooth is definitely a better look. ;) Here are some stats and other things she is doing that I want to remember. And of course, plenty of cute pictures below. I just got a new phone and didn't have the settings adjusted, so there are some random sized pictures. Whoops!

Stats-
Weight- 17lbs 11 oz-40th percentile. She's been at that same exact weight for quite a while.

Height- 26 inches-3.65 percentile. Can we say shrimp?!

Other things she is doing...
-She loves to play peek a boo. She usually lifts whatever she is holding so far up or down that you can see her still. So cute!

-She loves to play what we call "wee" She is always putting both hands up in the air. Then we say "wee" and she laughs, puts them down and does it all over again. She's so fun!

-She LOVES music. Makoy loves to hum and sing all day, and she will rock out to even that. It doesn't matter what is on, if she hears music, she rocks back and forth so hard she'll tip over. :)

-She refuses to eat canned vegetables. She will not do it. If I give her real veggies that are steamed, she will eat any single one that comes her way. She loves table food! She still won't drink from a sippy, but she will take a regular cup that the "big kids" use. It makes a huge mess though, so I'm still trying to find a sippy she will take.

-She says momma, dadda, and hi. She might just be babbling, or she is a baby genius. I think the latter. =)

-She "barks" at our friends dog, Seku. Every time she sees her, she starts doing this funny scream at her. Seku will bark, she'll do it back. Hilarious.

Don't let this sweet little look fool you! She is into everything.

Like, the dishwasher.

The tv goodies...

The book shelf....
These are no longer safe

The wipes...(Ugh disgusting couch. I can't wait to get rid of you.)

The kitchen stools, which despite them falling on her many a time, she thinks they're fun!
Pure joy :)
Makoy was telling her "no no." You can see she takes it real serious.
The blinds are fun, too.
All this wild woman ruckus will result in the occasional busted open skin, but she's still smiling!

But she does slow down every once and a while for cuddle time with brother.
I had to put these "out takes" on here because it cracks me up! It usually takes me 10 shots to get one good one because she's a little dramatic about the flash. Let's try again!
Nope, that one didn't work. One more!
A little better...
Ok, that will have to do. And don't mind shirtless Makoy in the back who was mid getting dressed.
Playing with her little tooth

She is soaking through water proof bibs, so I've decided to be done with them. Sweet, smiley baby!
Pretty girl

She loves her new/old toy that was Makoy's. She cruises with it when it's in the walking position.
This is how a lot of my pictures turn out, too. Her crawling away from me with her hair blowing in the breeze. Her hair is so out of control. It makes me laugh.

And this made me laugh because how long her hair is in the back.

We took a bike ride the other day and I turned around to see this!
And this....uh hello! Who strapped her in there? Can you guess? :)
Yep, that would be who! Bless his heart :)

There, that is better!

And of course they both love to play in the laundry baskets once I'm done folding clothes.
Stay tuned for lots more posts to come!

Our eight month old and 4th

Well, I have to admit, I have been terrible at blogging. I made a goal when I started to do it every month. I still have such guilt that I have nothing of Makoy's life when he was a baby in a type of journal like this. I still have done a post every month, so I guess I'm keeping my goal. Channing is now 2 1/2 weeks away from being nine months, but I'm just getting around to her eight month post. EIGHT months, ugh. It is making me so sad how fast she is growing. I really am trying to enjoy all the fun new things she is learning, but I just can't believe how fast it's gone by. She finally started crawling this month. I was getting worried that she was behind. I say "finally" but I really feel like "already???" She would stand on her own and try and walk, but she couldn't figure out the crawling. She would be doing a yoga pose with the downward dog and try to crawl while doing it. She finally figured out how to put it all together and is into everything! It is so cute to watch her, and she sure is proud of herself. She does this cute little giggle as she crawls. She is just so giddy over it. Makoy is learning that his entire life has changed. No toy left unattended is safe. He isn't enjoying that she can crawl as much as she is. I also haven't put the 4th of July pictures on here yet, holy cow. This was the first year we have stayed home since we've been married. Channing doesn't do well with loud noise or being in a different setting at all. Going to the river did not sound like our idea of fun this year. We just stayed home and barbequed with our friends, Mary and Isaac, and did our own little fireworks show. Makoy really liked it and we had a lot of fun. I may not be going to the river ever again! We are loving every second of having her in our lives, and having two kids. She has been such a good baby, despite her poor illnesses she has been hit with. She weighs 17 lbs 11 oz. Holy cow! Makoy seriously weighed that much when he was a year old. She also is in about the third percentile for her height, so she looks like a short little round ball. I kiss her little (big) cheeks all day!

She always does this smile, I love it.
Her hair is so long on top. Combined with this face she always makes, priceless.
Practicing yoga moves
She makes the weirdest noises with her mouth, but it makes cute little faces.

She kept taking her cousin Keira's passi, she has the exact same one.
She doesn't care who is in her way of trying to stand.
I think Keira is saying "back off already." Keira is older by eight months, but Channing looks bigger.
So proud whenever she can get into Makoy's stuff!
Fourth of July
Of course her toenails were painted red for the occasion. I love her monkey feet!

Festive little friends

Musical prodigies already, playing patriotic songs. Ok maybe not, but close.

Our at home show

Everyone in our neighborhood was doing these big, LOUD fireworks. Our ground flowers totally stole the show though. )

Shane decided to let Makoy help light them. Yeah...I had a panic attack the whole time.
